Popular with families, Bitez has a gently shelving beach lined with beach umbrellas which is well served by beachfront restaurants, cafes and shops. The cooling breeze coming off the sea generally provides excellent conditions for windsurfing and yachting. The village is slightly set back from the beach and has a tea house beside the mosque and a couple of little corner shops.
