Villa Lucille is a delightful linked townhouse, just a ten minute walk from the village of Luz where you will find an excellent selection of restaurants and bars as well as essential amenities. Praia da Luz is one of the Algarve’s finest beaches with soft white sand lapped by turquoise waters. It is well served by beachside cafes and a variety of water sports are on offer in summer. The colourful sandstone cliffs provide beautiful cliff-top walks and at one end are the locally renowned ‘rocha negra’ or black rocks; evidence of ancient volcanic activity.

The surrounding area has much to offer in the way of leisure activities including horse-riding, tennis, boat trips, hiking and water sports. The nearest golf course is at the Boa Vista golf resort, which also has tennis courts, football pitches and a luxury health club with a gym and spa.

The maritime city of Lagos is only 6km away. This relaxed and charming city offers a great selection of restaurants, most of which are found in the pedestrianised main street. Lined with open-air cafes, the main square of Praca da Republica is the best place to go for a spot of people watching as you relax with a cool drink under the shade of a canopy. There are often lots of street entertainers as well; everything from magicians to clowns and artists. Lagos has a long and varied history which ensures there are plenty of buildings and historic sites worth visiting; the governor’s castle and the church of St Sebastian being two of them.

Enjoyable family attractions nearby include Lagos Zoo which is set in lovely landscaped gardens with exotic plants and the Slide and Splash water park, one of Europe’s largest, situated off the N125 near Lagoa.

Ground Floor

The villa has all four of its bedrooms on the ground floor as well as a separate shower room with a shower, WC and washbasin. The master double room has its own en suite bathroom with a luxurious sunken bath and patio doors to a small courtyard. From the second double bedroom, you can step directly onto the terrace surrounding the pool – perfect for those who enjoy a swim first thing in the morning. There are a further two twin rooms, one at the front and one at the rear with access to the courtyard. All the bedrooms are furnished in a simple, contemporary style, with tiled floors and plenty of wardrobe space.

First Floor

The open/plan living room is situated on the first floor to make the most of the fabulous views over the rooftops to the Atlantic Ocean. Comfortably furnished with sofas nestled around the large fireplace, this lovely room is light and airy with white walls and two sets of patio doors leading to a furnished balcony. There is a satellite television and DVD player in one corner of the room and a large dining table to seat eight.

The modern fitted kitchen has white units topped with granite. There is a dishwasher, fridge, oven and gas hob, with a washing machine and freezer housed in a separate utility room. There is also a guest cloakroom on this level with a WC and washbasin.

Outside

The villa has a private rectangular pool surrounded by a walled sun terrace which is directly accessible from two of the bedrooms.

There is patio dining furniture on the first floor terrace with shade provided by an awning. There is also a large roof terrace with spectacular ocean views – a great place to watch the sun go down. A spiral staircase leads down to the pool area.
