Villa Florian is located in Vilamoura, just 2.5km from the golden sands of Marina Beach and Falesia Beach. The closest shops and restaurants are 2km away, in the centre of Vilamoura. For those who don't want to walk into the centre, the Vilamoura mini-train runs nearby the villa. The Old Course and Pinhal golf course are approximately 1km away.

Vilamoura is an extremely cosmopolitan resort, and one of Europe's major golf destinations. Almost every kind of sport and entertainment are on offer, including six golf courses, sports clubs, horse riding stables, a shooting range, night clubs, a casino and plenty of restaurants and bars. Villa Florian is just a short drive from the marina, where most of the restaurants and bars can be found - as well as a wonderful array of flamboyant yachts.

Located between a fragrant pine forest, reclaimed wetlands and sparkling, turquoise seas, Vilamoura has been carefully built to incorporate the natural surroundings. Just 3km from the beach, the area boasts beautiful coastline with unusual red-coloured rock and pine tree covered cliffs. For avid historians there are a preserved Roman site and a museum providing insights to the area's past; originally a Roman fishing town, the ruins include excavated baths in which the mariners used to bathe.

Approach

Entrance to the villa grounds is through a covered stone archway. A little path leads you through the garden, under the shady palms and past the pool to the villa. From the dining terrace, you can open the patio doors and enter the villa.

Ground Floor

Stepping inside Villa Florian, you enter a light, airy living and dining room, with fresh white walls and cool marble floors. Straight ahead is a comfortable living area, where cosy, cushioned seats sit around an open fireplace. There is also a satellite TV, which may come in handy when it's time for the children to come inside. This room has two sets of patio doors that can be left open to let in a cool breeze, and allow the kids to pass easily in and out of the sunshine.

On the other side of the large, open plan room, you'll see a separate dining area with wooden table and chairs to seat six people. This leads straight through to the kitchen, which has a breakfast table. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. There is a separate utililty room for the washing machine.

There is a double bedroom and a bathroom on this floor.

First Floor

Upstairs there are three more comfortable bedrooms. There is one double bedroom with an en suite bathroom and two twin rooms which share the use of a separate family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, WC and washbasin.

Outside

Stepping outside, you find yourself in the cool shade of the covered terrace. Next to the terrace is the quadrangle pool with tapered end and roman steps into the water. Around the pool there are plenty of sunny places to recline, as well as inviting areas of shade provided by low, leafy palms. Neat shrubs enclose the garden, and there is a small, grassy lawn for younger children to play on. Dining furniture and a barbeque are also provided, so you can enjoy the balmy evenings while the smell of slowly roasting meats and herbs fills the air.
