Location
This stylish villa with private pool has an elevated location overlooking the 13th fairway of the famous Los Olivos Golf course at Mijas. Set in a residential location within easy reach of local amenities, the villa is surrounded by lovely gardens and terraces where you can relax in privacy and admire wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding area. There are local restaurants and a supermarket approximately one kilometre from the villa, with the nearest beach a short drive away at Fuengirola.
For golfing enthusiasts, the Mijas Golf complex is open all year round and offers a challenging test for all levels of player. It has two 18-holes courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos.
Mijas Pueblo is a picturesque village of traditional white houses perched on a hillside overlooking the coast, with the Sierra de Mijjos mountain range as its backdrop. There is plenty to see and do here, from browsing the tiny shops filled with locally made ceramics and handicrafts to joining in at one of the village’s lively summer festivals. The town Hall puts on regular Flamenco shows in its main square and there is an open air theatre. You can explore the area by donkey or try one of the guided walks on offer from the Town Hall – visit the interesting 18th Century church built over the ruins of a Moorish Castle which dominated the village from the 9th to the 15th century, or take a trip to the historic bullring with an unusual oval shape, built in 1900. Bullfights are still staged here but you may choose to watch an Andalucian horse display instead!
The facilities of Mijas Coast and its wide ranging resorts are all easily reached from the villa, with beaches, watersports, waterparks and a wide selection of shops and restaurants within a short drive. Fuengirola has a sweeping coastline with 5km of sandy beaches with good facilities including a promenade lined with palms and flowers, sunbed and umbrella hire, beach bars, showers and toilets. It also has a port which is divided into two distinct areas – the traditional fishing port and the modern sports and leisure marina. A number of boat excursions (including glass bottomed boat trips) and fishing trips depart from the marina, often followed by dolphins splashing alongside the boat. Other popular activities here are water ski-ing and parasailing.
The marina has an array of excellent restaurants, tapas bars and clubs where you can enjoy a leisurely lunch or some more lively evening entertainment. A fabulous way to end your day is to dine in the open air looking out across the Mediterranean towards North Africa, whilst moored boats bob gently on the horizon.
Families are well catered for in the area with plenty of activities on offer to suit all ages. The Mijas Aqua Park is a short drive from the villa near Mijas Golf and Fuengirola has a zoo. You can try go-karting or quad biking, or perhaps explore the area at a gentler pace on horseback. Tivoli World, at Benalmadena Costa towards Malaga, is Costa del Sol’s largest theme park and offers the chance to experience lots of thrills and spills on a family day out.
Fuengirola has a Tuesday street market where you can shop for fresh produce, leather goods, jewellery and ceramics or the Fuengirola/Miramar Shopping Centre just off the N340 has a large range of fashion and sports shops, a large supermarket and a cinema complex with a daily English film showing.

In Detail
Approach
The villa is located in a residential area overlooking Los Olivos Golf at Mijas. There are electric gates from the road leading to a driveway with off-road parking for one car. Beyond this, there is a paved and gravelled area and a pillared entrance porch with impressive double doors flanked by palms.
Upper Floor
A hallway opens to the spacious and comfortable living room which has separate sitting and dining area arranged on either side of a large central chimney breast. The sitting room is a wonderful place to relax at any time of day, with two big sofas and a couple of leather swivel chairs and footstools – you will probably never tire of the views through the arched windows surrounding the room. There is built-in shelving to one side of the woodburner in the centre of the room which houses a large television and DVD player. On the far side of the chimney breast is a formal dining area furnished with an oak table and six upholstered chairs. There is a large sideboard, built-in shelving and a wine rack at the back of the chimney, with softly lit framed prints adorning the walls. Patio doors lead to a delightful glazed ‘naya’ which has cushioned rattan seating and a teak dining table and chairs.

There is a central island housing the sink and ceramic hob, and there is also a microwave, an integrated dishwasher and washing machine and a large American fridge/freezer. There is a large breakfast area with a farmhouse pine table, a dresser, cushioned bench and patio doors leading to the terrace.
Lower Floor
There are three air-conditioned bedrooms on the lower floor, each with twin beds and its own en suite bathroom with a white suite and intricate Spanish tiling. The first bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a bath/overbath shower, WC and washbasin. Painted white, with tiled flooring underfoot, it has an air conditioning unit above the beds (which are pushed together as a double) and plenty of space for your clothes in large fretwork wardrobes. The second and third bedrooms have an en suite shower room and bathroom respectively and full length windows opening to a small lower balcony.
